Working in a hair salon, I do hairstyles with different new hairstyles throughout the year. To get rid of this thought, I decided to challenge myself and not make braids and twists and hair extensions. And it was liberating.
I learned a lot of different ways to style my hair because I had to style my hair so often. Sometimes 3 a week, especially if I haven’t used styling gel. African Threading With Extensions
I added a little spice to the usual needle and thread cornflowers to make it look chic and pretty. You know, when you finish a job, in this case your hair, and you say to yourself, “Yes, it’s good.” This is how I felt when I finished this hairstyle. Let me tell you, when I first started doing my hair, I had little idea how I was going to do my hair, other than that I was surprised by the final look. When I do hair, it’s kind of like a blank canvas, and although I’ll have an idea of what to do, the style changes as I go. And this happens here too.
I used a combination of techniques to make this protective hair, but I wanted to show off the needle and thread skills. I used good old fashioned cornrows and sewed cornrow hairstyles with African thread. Wow! it’s a combination. I didn’t notice it until I wrote it down. In the video I just used 2 packets of Darling hair color T30 and it will cost a lot less than R80 if you buy it from a store rather than a hairdresser. Prices may vary by hair salon.
