You can do this step as you go or do everything from scratch. Just take two pieces of water wave hair and separate them. You want the result to be airy, but still relatively complex.

Take the needle and place it at the base of the tape, near the scalp. Insert the separated water wave hair into the hook of the needle, close it and pull it less than half way.
